Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 4, 2026 · Last updated: November 4, 2026

We keep this simple: we collect what we need to talk with you, build and look after your website, and run our services safely. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use advertising trackers. Website analytics is optional: you can turn it off at any time (section 7).

1. Who we are

BirdySites is a website design, hosting, and management service operated by Cyber Birdy LLC (“Cyber Birdy”, “BirdySites”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Cyber Birdy LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Company details are on our Company information page. For any privacy question or request, email us at hello@birdysites.com.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to:

Websites we build and host for our customers have their own privacy notices. For information that visitors send through a customer's website, see section 9.

3. Current and planned services

Today

Our website and demonstration websites, website requests sent through our form or by email, email correspondence with prospective and current customers, the websites we build and host, and website analytics (section 7).

Planned

A private customer dashboard and online billing. They are not available yet, and we will update this policy before either collects personal information.

4. Information we collect

Website requests and messages

When you send a website request, we collect your name, email address, the type of business you describe, and your project description. By sending a request, you ask us to reply to it; we record when it was sent and which version of the short privacy notice was shown with the form. We give each request a case number and send a confirmation email to the address you entered. To prevent abuse, such as repeated submissions or confirmation emails sent to someone else's address, we also keep a protected, one-way coded form of your IP address and email address with the request; it can't be turned back into the original. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include.

Customer and project information

When you become a customer, we collect the business and contact details needed for your project and agreement, the content you provide for your website (text, photos, logos, menus, opening hours, and similar materials), and your support requests and our replies, including any files you send us.

Billing information

We keep records of quotes, your acceptance, invoices, payments, and renewals, including amounts, dates, and payment references. If you pay by card or bank transfer through a payment processor, the processor collects and handles your payment details and tells us that the payment was made; we do not receive or store full card numbers.

Technical and security information

Like most websites, our servers process technical information to deliver pages and protect our services: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and the time of each request. For security, we keep limited records of unusual activity, such as automated or excessive requests. These records never include the contents of your messages, and IP addresses in them are kept in a shortened or otherwise protected form.

Website analytics

If analytics is on (section 7), Google Analytics collects information about how our website is used: the pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a search or another website), your approximate location (country or region, derived from your IP address), your device, browser, and screen size, and identifiers stored in analytics cookies. It also records that a website request was sent, without your name, email address, request text, or case number, none of which we ever send to analytics.

5. How we use information

Sending a website request does not sign you up for marketing email. If we ever offer a newsletter, it will need your separate consent.

6. Legal bases

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), we rely on: taking steps at your request before a contract and performing our contract with you; our legitimate interests in running and securing our services and replying to messages; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where we ask for it, which you can withdraw at any time. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, website analytics runs only with your consent.

7. Cookies, analytics, and browser storage

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website and to improve it. It sets analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) only when analytics is on. We do not use advertising cookies, and Google's advertising features and Google signals are turned off for our website.

Depending on your location, we ask for your consent before turning analytics on: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, nothing is loaded until you choose Accept. Elsewhere, analytics is on by default and you can turn it off at any time. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a choice to turn analytics off. Turning analytics off deletes its cookies on our website and does not affect your ability to use it.

Our website also remembers your analytics choice, your Light, Dark, or System appearance choice, and, on our demonstration websites, the colours and styles you try, in your browser's storage; this stays in your browser and is never sent to us. Our request form uses a security check that processes technical signals from your browser to tell people from automated bots; it is used only to protect the form, not for advertising.

8. Service providers

Like most businesses, we work with trusted service providers who help us run BirdySites. They process personal information on our behalf, only to provide their services to us, and are required to protect it. They include providers of:

We share only the information each provider needs for its service.

9. Customer website data

When visitors use a website we host for a customer (for example, a restaurant's reservation request), that customer decides how the information is used, and BirdySites processes it on the customer's behalf as their service provider, under our agreement with that customer. Each customer website has its own privacy notice, and questions about it should go to that business.

10. When we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with our service providers (section 8); when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety; as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy; or with your consent.

11. Security

We protect information with measures such as encrypted connections, strict security settings on our websites, and access limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your information safe and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

12. Retention and deletion

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy:

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

13. International transfers

Cyber Birdy is based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

14. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, receive a copy of it, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws may also ask what personal information we collect, use, and disclose. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You can turn website analytics off at any time (section 7). To make a request, email hello@birdysites.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will reply within the time the law requires.

15. Children

Our services are for businesses and are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information and will delete it if we learn that we have.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change, including before a planned service collects personal information. The updated policy takes effect when posted here with a new “Last updated” date. If a change significantly affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell customers in advance, for example by email, and ask for consent where the law requires it.
