Full Ownership is a custom website commissioned for your business, starting at $2,500. You own the agreed custom deliverables, with broader commercial rights, including resale and redistribution, and you can host your website wherever you choose.

There's no renewal. Managed hosting by BirdySites is optional and quoted separately, and no footer branding is required. Third-party and open-source components keep their own licenses.

If you'd like us to build and look after everything, Signature suits websites of up to 5 pages, and Professional suits growing businesses that want up to 8 pages, more assistance hours, priority assistance, and the option to remove the footer branding. If you'd like to own your website and host it anywhere, Full Ownership is the right choice.

Yes. Your website can grow with your business: additional pages and new features can be added when you need them, and you can move from Signature to Professional. We always confirm the price with you before any new work begins.

Signature includes up to 5 standard pages and Professional up to 8. A standard page is a regular content page built from your website's existing design and sections, such as Home, About, Menu, Services, or Contact. The Privacy Policy, Terms, and similar legal pages we provide don't count. Extra pages, and pages that need new functionality, are quoted separately.

Extra pages are quoted separately, because the work depends on what each page needs: a page built from your website's existing design and sections usually takes less work than one that needs new functionality. We always send you a quote before any additional work begins.

Each package includes a professionally designed website with the pages and features described in your quote. Custom development, online ordering, payment or reservation integrations, AI assistants, and complex third-party integrations are quoted separately, so you only pay for what you need.

A small "Powered by BirdySites" credit in your website's footer. It's required on Signature. On Professional it's optional: shown by default, and you can have it removed or restored whenever you like (from your dashboard, once available). Full Ownership websites don't require it.

After your first 12 months, Signature renews at $499 a year or $49 a month, and Professional at $699 a year or $69 a month, whichever suits you. We send a renewal invoice before each renewal; renewals are not charged automatically. Full Ownership needs no renewal unless you choose optional managed hosting.

Your written quote lists what's included and the price for your project. Anything outside it, such as additional pages, new features, or extra assistance, is quoted and approved by you before any work begins. Any applicable taxes are shown on your quote or invoice.

No, unless you prefer to. The standard payment is a 50% deposit when you accept your quote and project agreement, and the remaining 50% after you approve your finished website, before it launches.

If you'd rather, you can pay 100% upfront when you accept your quote; nothing more is then due at launch for the agreed scope.

After you accept your quote and project agreement, we send you an invoice for the 50% deposit, or for the full amount if you choose to pay upfront. Work on your website begins once that first payment is received.

Once your website is completed and you've given your final approval, we invoice the remaining 50%. Your website launches, or the agreed files are transferred under Full Ownership, after the final payment is received.

Every project has a written quote and a project agreement. For Signature and Professional, you accept them electronically, for example by confirming by email; no separate signature is needed. Full Ownership and a Website Independence Buyout may require a separately signed agreement.

We send each invoice with the amount, the due date, and how to pay. Separately quoted additional work is invoiced as its quote states, and renewals are invoiced before each renewal; they're never charged automatically.

Whether any amount is refundable when a project is cancelled before launch is set out in your project agreement. Nothing in our Terms limits any refund rights you have under applicable law.

Here's how every BirdySites project works, from your first message to launch:

2. Personalized quote. We review your requirements and send a written quote with the scope, price, and an estimated timeline.
3. Agreement. You review and accept your quote and project agreement.
4. Invoice. We send you an invoice for your initial payment.
5. Initial payment. Pay a 50% deposit, or 100% upfront if you prefer. Work begins once it's received.
6. Design and development. We design and build your website to the agreed scope and timeline, and share a private preview.
7. Up to 3 revision rounds. Review your preview and request changes within the agreed scope.
8. Final approval and payment. Once you approve your finished website, the remaining 50% is invoiced and paid.
9. Launch or transfer. We launch your website on BirdySites managed hosting, or transfer the agreed files under Full Ownership.

Every project's timeline is set individually and depends on its scope, the number of pages and features, and how quickly we receive your content and feedback. Your quote includes an estimated delivery date, and we keep you updated along the way. Estimates are not guaranteed dates.

Up to 3 revision rounds are included within the agreed project scope. Before launch, we share a private preview of your website so you can review it and send us your changes.

A revision round is one complete set of change requests that you send us after reviewing your preview, and that we then make together. Changes within the agreed scope, such as adjusting text, images, colors, spacing, or the order of sections, count as revisions.

New pages, major redesigns or a new design direction, and new features aren't revisions: we quote them separately before any work on them begins. Sending all your changes for a round together keeps your project on schedule.

Yes. If you'd like more changes after your 3 revision rounds, or changes outside the agreed scope, we'll quote them separately and begin only once you approve. After launch, minor content updates are covered by your Personalized Website Assistance hours.

Your business content, such as text, photos, your logo, and details like your services, menu, opening hours, and contact information, plus your feedback at each review. Timelines depend on receiving your content and approvals. If you don't have everything ready yet, tell us in your inquiry.

The buyout gives your business a perpetual license to run and change your existing website independently, and it can go with your business if you sell it, but it doesn't include resale or redistribution rights.
